Twenty-five pictures from a working farm fill this game. Thirteen are animals: a cow, a pig standing in a mud puddle, a sheep, a horse, a chicken, a rooster, a duck, a goat, a rabbit, a turkey, a dog, a cat and a llama. A bee buzzes in as the fourteenth.
Beyond the animals
The other eleven squares are the farm around them. There’s a red barn, a windmill, a tractor, a scarecrow and a hay bale, and six things that grow or get gathered: a sunflower, an apple, a carrot, an ear of corn, a pumpkin and an egg.
How the cards look
The border is rust-red and white stripes with a string of colored flags across the top. The “FARM BINGO” title has tiny animals and sunflowers perched on its letters, with a horseshoe, a ladybug and a mailbox beside it, and the bottom line reads “The Barnyard’s Favorite Game!” Each free square is pale green with a gold star.
Every card holds 24 of the 25 pictures, leaving one out, so almost every call finds a match on almost every card. No two cards share a layout, in either set or across both, though some carry the same 24 pictures in a different order. Pick the picture-only cards for kids who can’t read yet, and the labeled ones when you’d like them to see “llama” and “scarecrow” spelled out.
