This cute bat SVG set draws one cartoon bat 30 ways: plum-colored fur, a fluffy cream-and-mauve ruff on its chest, oversized pink ears, a small pink snout and big brown eyes, with dusty pink wings ribbed in a darker shade. Five designs carry Halloween props, a pumpkin, a jack-o’-lantern, a little stone turret house and two skulls, so they double as Halloween bat clipart. The other 25 are plain bats that fit any time of year.

Who is in the 30 designs

The numbers match the file names and the directory page of the guide.

  • Flying (01–08): gliding with the wings level, wings lifted on the upstroke, wings pushed down, banking to one side, diving head first, hovering face-on, crossing the frame in side view, and coming in to land with its feet reaching forward.
  • Characters (09–14): an all-pink bat with its wings open, a bat wrapped in its own wings with its eyes shut, one sitting and waving a wing with its mouth open, one hugging a pink heart, one winking with its tongue out, and one sitting with the wings spread low and its head tilted.
  • Hanging (15–17): all upside down from a twig. One sleeps with its wings wrapped tight, one hangs with its wings stretched wide and looks straight at you, and one peeks out from between folded wings.
  • Colonies (18–20): three, four and five small bats flying together. In 19 they climb in a diagonal line; in 20 they’re scattered across the square.
  • Moons (21–23): a bat sitting in the curve of a golden crescent with two stars, a bat flying in front of a pale yellow full moon, and a bat asleep on a lavender crescent with a star dangling from its tip.
  • Halloween scenes (24–26): winking on top of a pumpkin, laughing as it pops out of a jack-o’-lantern with the lid knocked aside, and hanging from the roof peak of a small stone turret house with lit windows.
  • Close-ups (27–30): bigger single bats. One has its wings folded down in front of its belly, one stands with a pale crescent stripe across a raised wing, one peers at a small skull on the ground, and one laughs with a tiny skull charm at its neck.

What the black silhouettes look like

The black files are solid shapes. The eyes, fur lines and wing ribs are gone, and anything the bat holds or sits on joins the same outline. That matters for a few designs. The pumpkin and the jack-o’-lantern lose their ribs and carved face, the turret house loses its windows and door, and on 21 and 23 the bat fills the inside of the crescent, so the pair reads almost as a round moon. On 22 the full moon becomes a thin ring behind the bat. In the colonies every bat stays a separate little shape, which makes them easy to space out.

The black DXF holds one closed outline per bat. The color DXF is far busier, with roughly 200 to 1,300 contours per design, because the color artwork was traced into a few hundred shades of plum and pink. The guide recommends the black version when you want a simpler single-color cut.

Artboards and sizes

The artboard follows the pose. Designs 01 to 14, 16 and 17 sit on a 12 x 8 inch landscape artboard, 18 to 30 on a 12 x 12 inch square, and the sleeping bat in 15 on an 8 x 12 inch portrait. The PNGs keep those shapes at 3600 pixels on the long side, with transparent backgrounds. In the DXF files the drawing starts at the origin and measures about 8.5 to 12 inches on its longest side, so set the width you want after importing.

For starting sizes, the guide suggests 3 to 4 inches wide on a mug, 8 to 10 inches on a shirt and 6 to 10 inches for a window decal, and it points the detailed color faces toward printing or bigger projects. None of the files have been through printing, cutting or engraving tests, so try a scrap of your own material before the real thing.
