This sea animals clipart set has 40 creatures, and no two are the same species. Each is a small, round-faced watercolor painting with black dot eyes, pink cheeks and a smile, even the shells and the coral. A thin white border runs around every animal, so the PNGs already look like die-cut stickers.
Forty animals, one of each
The big swimmers are a whale, orca, dolphin, shark, narwhal, beluga, sperm whale, whale shark, hammerhead, stingray and manta ray, plus a sea turtle, a seal and a sea otter floating on its back. The reef fish are a clownfish, pufferfish, blue tang, angelfish, butterflyfish, lionfish, moorish idol and a green moray eel. Then come the octopus, jellyfish, squid, cuttlefish and nautilus, the crab, lobster, hermit crab and shrimp, a seahorse and a sea star. The rest sit on the bottom: a scallop shell, conch shell, mussel shell, sand dollar, sea urchin, sea anemone and branch coral.
Design-Index.txt lists all 40 names with their file numbers, and the guide notes that these are stylized craft characters, not science drawings.
The PNG and the vector copies look different
The color PNG is the watercolor original. It keeps the soft grain and the painted blends of color. The color SVG, EPS and DXF files are simplified versions with a reduced palette of 12 to 16 colors per animal, so they come out flatter and a little speckled where the paint was smooth. The comparison image of the octopus shows the difference. Use the PNG when you want the watercolor look in print, and the vectors when you need shapes you can edit or recolor by color group.
The silhouettes are a third look again: one solid navy shape per animal, rounded and simplified. Animals with a clear outline, like the crab, narwhal or manta ray, read well this way. The sand dollar, mussel and scallop turn into plain round or oval blobs.
How big it prints
Every PNG is 1254 pixels square and tagged 300 dpi, which works out to about 4.2 inches across at that setting. The guide suggests starting with a 2 to 3 inch sticker and checking a test print, and it points out that raising the dpi alone adds no detail. The color PNG fills its canvas almost to the edge, while the silhouette PNG leaves a margin around the shape.
The vector files open on a 12 x 12 inch canvas, where you can scale them freely, but they carry the simplified colors described above. For cutting, the guide points you to the silhouettes for simpler outlines and asks you to check the cut preview in your software, since the transparent PNG edge is not a cut line. Small parts like the jellyfish tentacles or the shrimp’s feelers may need a bigger size. The sticker sheet in the photos is a mockup. You get the separate animal files, not a sheet layout or the backgrounds.
