Retro Comic Rubber Duck SVG & Clipart
Bright yellow rubber ducks drawn like old comic strips, with thick black ink lines and big grins. Twenty-two of them come dressed for something, from a birthday party hat and a Santa hat to a nurse cap, a pirate hat and a swim ring, and each of those has a one-color line version too.

These rubber duck SVG designs look like they jumped out of an old comic strip. Every duck is the classic yellow bath toy with an orange beak, big white eyes and a thick, slightly rough black outline, and most of them are grinning with the beak wide open.
Twenty-two ducks in costume
Four are the plain duck: side-on, facing front, a baby with a little head tuft, and a big duck with a small one beside it. Two are bath time, one sitting in a clawfoot tub full of foam and one with soap bubbles floating up.
The other sixteen each wear one thing:
- Holidays: a red-and-white striped party hat, a Santa hat, a purple witch hat with an orange band, and bunny ears
- Jobs and milestones: a nurse cap with a teal cross, a chef hat with a red neckerchief, and a graduation cap with a tassel and black bow tie
- Everyday: black sunglasses, a striped swim ring, a red bow tie, a small gold crown, a teal rain hat, a blue nightcap with eyes closed, a crown of flowers, a pirate hat with an eye patch, and a striped knit scarf
Silhouettes, outlines and the two slogans
The three silhouettes are solid black duck shapes: one side-on, one from the front, and a big and a small duck together. The three outline designs, numbered 26 to 28, are the same line art as the mono versions of the plain side-on duck, the bathtub duck and the party-hat duck, saved again as their own files.
The slogans are the busiest pieces. “SPLASH HAPPY” puts a duck in a wave of teal water between bubbly orange letters, and “BUBBLE BUDDY” puts two ducks in a pile of foam inside rounded teal letters. Both are color only, and the letters are already outlined.
Mono versions
Each of the 22 color ducks has a one-color twin in near-black. These aren’t filled-in silhouettes. They keep the ink outline and leave the body open, so a mono duck looks like a line drawing, with only the dark parts, like sunglasses, the pirate hat or the graduation cap, filled solid. The guide recommends a mono file rather than the color DXF for single-color cuts, says the vintage ink accents may be too fine for small vinyl cuts, and points to the silhouettes when you want the simplest shapes.
Sizing across the four formats
The formats don’t open at the same size, so set the width yourself:
- PNG: 3600 x 3600 pixels at 300 dpi, a 12-inch square with the duck filling up to about 10.5 inches of it
- DXF: in inches, but the duck comes in at only about 4.2 to 4.4 inches on its longest side
- SVG: a 500 x 500 square canvas with no unit, so the size depends on your software
- EPS: a 500-point square, about 6.9 inches
The guide’s suggested widths are 9 to 11 inches for shirts, 3 to 4 inches for mugs and stickers, and 5 inches or more for anything you cut, with a test on your material first. It suggests the PNG or EPS for printing and the SVG for layering by color, since each color duck is built from roughly one shape per color, ready to ungroup. The shirt, mug and sticker photo is a mockup.
