This dinosaur SVG pack has 30 vector designs split into five groups, plus five watercolor dinosaurs that come as PNG pictures only. Every vector design comes twice, once in color and once in solid black.
Eight characters and ten profiles
The color characters are fully drawn and outlined: an orange T. rex with its jaws open, a green triceratops, a stegosaurus with rust-red plates, a pale blue brachiosaurus, a teal velociraptor shown with feathers, an ankylosaurus with its club tail, a pteranodon gliding and a plesiosaurus swimming.
The ten profiles are side views drawn as one flat shape. They repeat all eight of those animals and add two that only appear here, the parasaurolophus with its curved head crest and the spinosaurus with its tall back sail. The profiles are a single dark green in the color folder and black in the silhouette folder, so for these ten, the two versions differ only in color.
The pteranodon and the plesiosaurus are not dinosaurs. The files label them as prehistoric reptiles, which is worth keeping in mind if you add name labels to a project.
Fossils, eggs and tracks
Four fossil drawings in shaded bone tones show a theropod skull full of teeth, a sauropod vertebra, a long curved claw and a set of three bones. The guide calls them decorative interpretations, not scientific drawings. In black, they keep white openings for the eye holes and cracks, so they still look like bone. The guide says these detailed fossils suit printing or larger cuts better than small ones.
The egg and track designs are simpler and flatter: a pair of speckled eggs in sage and mustard, an egg cracking open along a zigzag line, one big three-toed footprint, and a trail of four smaller prints in rust and sage.
Four word designs
The lettering designs read “Dino Mite,” “Roar,” “Stomp & Roam” and “Little Explorer,” all in capitals. Each has a small extra: a stegosaurus above Dino Mite, a T. rex and three tracks around Roar, footprints beside the ampersand, and a brachiosaurus with two sprigs and an egg under Little Explorer. The letters are already shapes, so there is no font to install.
The watercolor bonus
The five watercolor PNGs are separate paintings of a T. rex, triceratops, stegosaurus, brachiosaurus and ankylosaurus, with soft brush texture and visible scales. They are not counted in the 30, and they are not vector files, so they can’t be edited as shapes or used for cutting. Each sits on a 3600 px transparent square. The guide says they were resampled from the original paintings, which adds no extra detail, and recommends printing a sample before a large project.
Sizes
SVG and EPS files sit on a 12-inch square, and DXF files are set in inches on the same square. In the PNGs the drawing itself runs from about 7 to 11 inches on its longest side at 300 dpi, depending on the design. For cutting, the guide points to the black versions, starting around 5 inches on the longest side, with a test cut first. The raptor’s thin legs and feathered arms are the fiddliest parts at small sizes. Nothing in the pack has been tested on a cutting machine.
