This cow SVG set pairs black and white farm animals with the things around them: 30 designs that run from calves and cow-print shapes to a barn, a milk can, shaggy Highland cattle and five word designs. Eight of the designs also come in soft color, and every design has a separate cut version.
What the 30 designs are
- Calves and cows (01–08): a calf sitting in a daisy crown, a front-facing head, a standing dairy cow, a calf with a bell collar, one walking, one lying down, one with a clover in its mouth, and a cow head wearing a ribbon bow.
- Cow spots (09–11): the black and white hide pattern on its own, shaped as a square, a heart and a circle with a ring border.
- Floral cows (12–15): a head above roses and a daisy, a head under a daisy crown, a head inside a leafy wreath, and one beside a sunflower.
- Ornamental cows (16–17): a head and a full standing cow, both filled with flower and swirl patterns in place of spots.
- Farm pieces (18–22): a gambrel-roof barn, a milk can, a round hay bale, a wooden rail fence and a windmill.
- Highland cows (23–25): a long-horned head, a fluffy calf sitting down, and a head with daisies tucked into its fringe.
- Words (26–30): “MOO” with a calf’s face inside one O, “holy COW”, “Farm FRESH” on the side of a milk can, “COUNTRY kind”, and “little MOO” with a cow-print bow. The block letters are filled with cow spots, and three of the phrases sit above a curved swag of roses and daisies. The guide describes the lettering as outlined, so there is no font to install.
Eight in color
Designs 01, 02, 04, 07, 12, 14, 23 and 24 have a color file beside the black and white one. On the spotted cows, white becomes a warm cream and the spots stay near-black. Blush pink is added where it suits each design: the daisy crown and horns on 01, the ears and mouth on 02, the roses and daisies on 12 and 14, with a pale sage on a few of their leaves. 04 and 07 keep to cream and black only. The two Highland designs change completely, with a light honey coat, brown linework instead of black, and a little pink at the head’s mouth.
Printing versus cutting
For anything printed, open the detail folder. The guide’s advice for a small printed design of about 3 to 4 inches is to use the detail PNG or a detail vector file, since the cut versions alter fine detail.
The cut folder turns each design into one solid color with heavier shapes and fewer small openings. Some designs hardly change: the spot shapes, the big cow-print letters and the windmill come through close to the original. Others shift more. The Highland fur becomes chunky black strands, and the flower swags under the words fill in to a dense leafy band. The guide suggests starting cut files at 10 inches wide and testing your material and machine first; actual cutting with these files hasn’t been verified. If you use the DXF, import it in inches, check the scale and group the contours before working with it.
Sizes
Each SVG and EPS opens at 10 inches across its longest side. The PNGs have transparent backgrounds and measure 3600 pixels on the long edge with 300 dpi metadata, so a design fills 12 inches at that resolution.
