This honey bee SVG set has 30 designs in honey gold, cream, cocoa brown, sage green and a soft coral pink, and it covers two very different kinds of bee. Four look like the real insect; eight are chubby cartoon characters. The rest of the set is the world around them: frames, hives, flowers, honey and a few words.
Realistic bees and cartoon bees
The a-group is the nature-study side. There is a honey bee seen from above with its wings spread flat, one in side view, one at a three-quarter angle, and a natural-history drawing in black and white with every leg segment and wing vein outlined. The three color studies are shaded with fuzzy tufts rather than flat stripes.
The b-group is the opposite: big heads, rosy cheeks, curled antennae and wings with a green leaf-vein pattern. You get a happy bee in flight, one winking and waving, one hugging a heart, a queen in a gold crown, a sleepy bee curled up with its eyes closed, one carrying a honey drop, one with a pink bow, and two bees side by side. The c-group turns the realistic bee into three solid silhouettes, one with a crown.
Around the bees
- Hexagon frames (d01 to d03): thin caramel hexagon outlines, empty inside, one large, three small or two side by side, each with a tiny cartoon bee at the edge.
- Hives (e01, e02): a straw skep hanging from a rope between leafy sprigs, and a two-box wooden hive on legs with a green roof and a daisy at its foot.
- Bee and flower (f01 to f03): a bee over a daisy, a bee sitting on a sunflower, and a bee in a bunch of pink blossoms.
- Honey (g01 to g03): a jar with a cloth top and a pink ribbon, a dripping honey dipper, and an open jar with the dipper resting across it.
- Sayings (h01 to h04): a cartoon bee above heavy rounded capitals reading “BEE KIND”, “BEE HAPPY”, “QUEEN BEE” and “SWEET AS HONEY”. The letters are shapes in the file, not live text.
Keep the detailed ones big
Apart from the two-tone silhouettes, the color SVGs are shaded with 14 to 51 fill colors per design, so cutting one layer by layer would mean a stack of near-identical tones. For a cut, the CUT-SVG or DXF version gives you one black layer. The guide’s sizing advice for this set is specific: keep the 12-inch canvas for detailed cuts, which puts the artwork at about 10 inches, and it names 0.04 inch (1 mm) as the thinnest wing and antenna stem to aim for. For shirts it suggests 10 to 11 inches; for cups, labels and other small pieces it points you to the PNG and a printer. The thin wing veins on the realistic bees are the parts to watch. None of the files has been run on a cutting machine, so a test cut on scrap comes first.

- Can I cut the detailed realistic bees at a small size?
- The guide advises against it. For detailed cuts it says to keep the supplied 12-inch canvas, where the artwork is about 10 inches across, and to use the PNG and a printer for smaller projects.
- Are the cartoon bees and the cut versions separate designs?
- No. There are 30 designs in total. The CUT-SVG folder holds a one-color version of each of the same 30, under the same ID.
