Alpaca clipart in 30 flat-color vector designs, each built around a fluffy cream-and-camel alpaca dressed up with botanical extras: a flower tucked behind an ear, a leaf-print scarf, a saddle blanket with a folk tulip motif, a pot of flowering cactus. You get each one as a layered SVG, a transparent alpaca PNG, a DXF, an EPS and a one-color cut file.
What the seven groups hold
Design-Index.txt sorts the set by the letter at the front of each file name.
- a, heads (6): bust portraits that differ by expression. One smirks, one winks with its tongue out, one laughs, one looks surprised, one wears a flower and one has a rose-colored bow under its chin.
- b, body (6): a prancing alpaca in a tasseled blanket, a standing one with a bow at its neck, a curious sitter, a sleepy sitter, one waving a hoof and one hugging a big pink heart.
- c, accessories (4): a leaf-print scarf, a knit winter hat with a rose on it, a wide sun hat worn with a scarf, and a seated alpaca bundled up in a scarf.
- d, cactus (3): full little scenes, each alpaca paired with one or two potted cacti in bloom. These are the largest files in the set.
- e, line art (4): brown outline drawings that echo poses from the color groups, such as the prancing blanket alpaca and the scarf sitter.
- f, silhouettes (3): solid green heads with the face picked out in negative space.
- g, lettering (4): an outline alpaca head over chunky rounded letters reading “ALPACA LITTLE JOY”, “ALPACA SOFT HUG”, “ALPACA HAPPY HEART” and “ALPACA SUNNY SMILE”.
A six-color palette
Every colored file draws from the same six colors: cream, camel, mustard gold, dusty rose, a deep pine green and a dark brown used for eyes, hooves and the line art. A single design uses four to six of them. There is no dark outline around the color alpacas; their edges come from the fills themselves, so if you want a bold drawn outline, the line art group or the cut version gives you that look.
Color file or cut file
Each ID exists twice in vector form, and the two are one design, not two. The SVG folder holds the color art in layers. The CUT-SVG folder holds the same alpaca flattened to a single black layer, where the color designs turn into linework and the silhouettes and sayings stay solid. Use the cut version when everything comes from one sheet of vinyl, paper or iron-on; use the color SVG or the PNG when the design is going to be printed. The DXF files carry the same single-color contours as closed shapes, measured in inches.
The START HERE guide gives starting widths: 10 to 11 inches for an adult shirt, 7 to 8 inches for a child’s shirt, 3 to 4 inches for a printed cup design or label, and a first test cut around 6 inches wide, with a note to simplify detailed designs before cutting them smaller. Machine cutting hasn’t been tried with these files, so run a sample on scrap before committing your good material.
Questions
- Do I need a font for the sayings?
- No. The letters in ALPACA LITTLE JOY and the other three sayings are already vector shapes, so nothing has to be installed and the words will not change when you open the file.
- What size should I cut first?
- The guide suggests a test cut around 6 inches wide, then adjusting for your material. Eyes, letters and small accents can come out as separate pieces, so have transfer tape ready.
