Sailboat Coloring Pages: 24 Coastal Scenes
Small sailing boats on 24 stretches of water: a dinghy pulled up on a beach, a cabin sloop by a lighthouse, a catamaran in a lagoon, a two-masted schooner and a boat crossing a fjord under a waterfall. Each page has a colored version, and the levels go from wide open sea to busy harbor towns.

Every page puts one main sailboat in the middle of the sheet, drawn large enough that the sail panels, mast, boom and hull stripe are all separate shapes to color. The boats are small, friendly craft rather than racing yachts: open dinghies, little sloops with a cabin and portholes, catamarans and a two-masted schooner. On Quiet Mooring, Canal Village and Tropical Anchorage the boat is at rest with the mainsail furled along the boom; everywhere else the sails are up.
From open water to harbor towns
The Easy pages (01–08) keep the background to sea, sky and one landmark: a palm island, a lighthouse on rocks, a beach umbrella, a mountain lake, a boathouse dock, and a second little boat sailing in the distance on Two Little Sails. The Normal pages (09–16) add things to look at, such as harbor steps and mooring posts, red and green channel buoys, a lagoon catamaran, dolphins jumping at sunset, a canal village with a footbridge, a picnic blanket on the shore, a rainbow and a regatta with three boats. The Hard pages (17–24) fill in the coast: an old harbor town with a bell tower, a fjord with a waterfall, a catamaran at a tropical anchorage, a cliffside village, the wooden schooner beside a lighthouse and a wooden boathouse, a moonlit bay, sea turtles near an island lookout, and a final coast with a stone bridge, a lighthouse and hibiscus flowers.
Coloring the water
Most of the lower half of each page is open water drawn with wave lines, so it works well with long strokes of colored pencil or marker. The colored references use blues and turquoise for the sea and stripe the sails in coral, blue, yellow or green. Print in landscape at Actual Size; the outlines are the odd pages of the 48-page books.
