These cartoon beach backgrounds are 16 bright seaside pictures in a storybook style, all made with AI: turquoise water, golden sand, palm trees, hibiscus, shells and starfish in strong summer color. Two of the 16 leave most of the square empty for writing, and two are repeat patterns.

What the 16 designs show

Whole coves, 01 to 05. Each one looks out over a bay from behind a fringe of flowers. Sunny Cove has three pastel beach huts, fringed umbrellas, striped loungers, a sailboat and a little crab on the rocks. Island Day looks across clear water to a tiny palm island, with a footbridge in pink and blue on the right. Boardwalk Bay puts you at the top of a wooden boardwalk leading down to deck chairs, umbrellas and a pail. Coral Sunset has an orange sky with the sun sitting on the horizon, and Evening Inlet is the softer dusk one, with pink clouds, two huts up on the rocks and a rowboat pulled onto the sand.

Down on the sand, 06 to 08. These are seen from above. Shell Garden is a heap of scallops and a conch among seaweed at the waterline, Starfish Shore has three orange starfish where the foam runs up, and Footprints follows a trail of prints along the wet edge.

Only water, 09 and 10. Rows of breaking waves with no shore or sky. Tidal Ribbons is deeper blue with bigger white crests, and Wave Rhythm is lighter turquoise and more even. They work as busy all-over textures more than as pictures.

Palms, 11 and 12. Dark palm silhouettes frame a daytime bay in 11. Design 12 takes the same idea to night, with a crescent moon and a path of moonlight on the water.

Note papers, 13 and 14. The scene sits only along the bottom: shells, a starfish and flowers on the sand under a plain cream top in 13, and a pale blue sky with a few clouds over the sea in 14, with a palm frond in one corner. START-HERE.txt says the open space is left on purpose and there are no text boxes, so any words go on in your own app or with a pen.

Patterns, 15 and 16. Shells, starfish, sand dollars, coral and pebbles laid out flat on cream in 15, and shells, starfish and seaweed with small water swirls on pale aqua in 16.

The two seamless tiles

Designs 15 and 16 come twice, as square JPGs like the rest and as 3600 x 3600 PNG tiles in the Seamless_PNG folder. The PNGs are opaque, with the cream or aqua ground included, so they are papers, not transparent clipart. Set edge to edge with no gaps and the edges meet cleanly. Before you fill a big area, know that the shells sit in a cluster in the middle of each tile with a band of plain ground around them, so a tiled sheet reads as tidy blocks with plain lines between them rather than an even scatter. No other design in the set is meant to repeat.

Screen versions of four scenes

Sunny Cove, Island Day, Coral Sunset and Palm Moon also come as 16:9 JPGs at 3840 x 2160 and 1920 x 1080 for a desktop, laptop or TV. They are crops of the square art, not extra pictures. In the three daytime scenes the crop trims more off the front of the beach than off the sky, so the crab and shells along the bottom of Sunny Cove are gone. Palm Moon keeps the sky and moon and loses most of the sand. The other 12 designs have no wide version.

Printing

The square JPGs are 3600 x 3600 pixels and set to 12 x 12 inches, and START-HERE.txt points to them with suitable paper for a full 12-inch print. The PDFs are for ordinary paper: each portrait page holds one design, centered with white margins, about 7.8 inches square on US Letter and 7.6 inches on A4, so they are not full bleed. Print at Actual Size (100%) and try one sample first, since the turquoise and coral can look different on paper than on screen.
