These penguins are dressed for the cold in hats and scarves striped in electric blue, orange and sunny yellow, and that bright palette runs through the whole penguin SVG set. They’re chubby cartoon penguins with oversized blue eyes, orange cheeks and a little yellow beak, drawn with crisp black outlines and no shading, so the colors stay flat and loud.

Who’s in the set

The six standing penguins pose in their hats and scarves, most of them on blue ice skates: one waves, one looks up in profile, one tilts its head, one spreads both flippers wide. The five babies include a hatless chick in a bow tie, a sleepy one with its eyes shut, and one kicking up a yellow foot. Three family designs show two parents hugging a chick, a parent with a chick at its side, and a family of three skating in a row.

The four skating designs put the penguins on the ice: a long glide, a spin on one foot, a slide on its belly across a blue puddle and two friends skating together. The three faces are close-up penguin heads, one wearing a pom-pom hat, for anywhere a whole body won’t fit. The three silhouettes are plain black shapes of a standing penguin in a hat and scarf, a diving penguin and one tobogganing along on its belly.

Six for Christmas

The holiday group swaps a few accessories in: an orange Santa hat with a white pom-pom, a wrapped gift with a blue bow, a blue wreath with an orange bow, a pair of orange earmuffs, an orange stocking with a white snowflake that a penguin pops out of, and a big yellow star held like a hug. Nothing in them is lettered, so they work on a card or tag with your own greeting.

White is a real color here

In the color files the white faces and bellies are a separate white layer, not gaps in the drawing. Printed on a dark or colored surface, the penguin keeps its white front. The color SVG and DXF files both split each design into black, white, blue, orange and yellow, so one color can be hidden or cut on its own.

The one-color edition works the other way. Everything turns black, and the white areas become openings that let the surface show through, which is what makes the eyes, cheeks and belly readable. The three silhouettes are black in both editions and are the guide’s pick for the simplest one-piece cut.

Size and cutting notes

The guide’s size suggestions are 10 to 11 inches wide on an adult or holiday shirt, 7 to 8 inches on a youth shirt, 3 to 4 inches high on a cup or tumbler, and 5 to 6 inches wide for a decal. For detailed cuts it says to begin around 6 inches wide and keep flippers, webbed feet and scarf tails at least 0.04 inch (1 mm) thick at the final size, with a look at skate blades and joints. Eye highlights and holiday accessories are the small parts most likely to need trimming. No physical cutting test sits behind these numbers, so cut a sample in your own material first.

PNGs are 3600 pixels square with 300 dpi in the file data. The DXF files are drawn on a 12 x 12 inch canvas, though some programs read the units differently, so measure after import.

Questions

Which designs are for Christmas?
Six of them - a penguin in a Santa hat, one holding a wrapped gift, one with a wreath and bow, one in earmuffs, one popping out of a stocking with a snowflake on it, and one hugging a yellow star. The rest are general winter designs.
Will the white belly print on a dark shirt?
In the color files, yes. The white face and belly are their own white layer, not empty space. In the one-color files those areas are cut-out openings instead.
