Every bookmark here is a full-color gingerbread building, one of 15 shops and workplaces in a snowy Christmas town. You cut them out along the outline of the building itself, so one bookmark ends in a stepped gable, another in an observatory dome, another in windmill sails. The colors are already done: biscuit-tan walls, piped white icing, snow on every ledge, and roofs in powder blue, pink, lilac, sage, peach, plum or deep teal.
The 15 buildings
Most of the buildings are three or four stories tall, and the fun is in the windows, which show the inside of each shop:
- Bookshop: floor-to-ceiling shelves, a green armchair with a plaid blanket and an open book on a stand
- Hot Cocoa Cafe: mugs topped with cream behind a striped awning, a small bistro table outside
- Gingerbread Bakery: loaves, buns and a cake in the window, a bread basket by the door
- Post Office: a stepped gable decorated with envelopes, a red mailbox and a stack of parcels
- Tea House: teapots and cups on every shelf, a hanging teapot sign and a tea table out front
- Florist: wreaths and potted flowers, with a narrow glasshouse wing on one side
- Toy Workshop: a rocking horse, a dollhouse and a teddy bear, with wrapped gifts on the snow
- Clockmaker: a clock face and a bell in the top gable, clocks and tools on the workbench
- Observatory: a brass telescope under a dark blue dome, star decorations on the tower
- Cozy Inn: a bedroom with a balcony upstairs and a fireplace room below
- Music Shop: a piano and two guitars in the shop window, an instrument case in the snow
- Candle Shop: tall lit candles in a bay window and a lantern by the door
- Train Station: a clock tower, a luggage cart and stacked suitcases
- Winter Greenhouse: green glass roofs, potted orange trees and pink flowers
- Windmill: lattice sails, a flour sack on a hoist and a millstone at the base
Cutting the shapes
There’s no printed cut line. Every building sits on a wavy snowbank of gingerbread at the bottom, and you cut around the edge of the picture. The printing guide suggests leaving a narrow white margin where it helps, and warns that the small roof finials and the windmill sails are fragile, so take those slowly. On the PDF sheets every building is 6 inches tall, and the widths vary from about 1.8 to 2 inches with the shape.
These are single-sided: there’s no illustrated back. Print on heavyweight matte paper your printer can handle, at 100% or Actual Size with Fit to Page turned off, and check the 1-inch line on the sheet with a ruler before printing the rest. The PNGs are images, not SVG or cutting-machine files, so use them when you want a single building at a different size and resize it in a layout or image app. For plain printing, the PDFs are simpler.
