Garbage Truck Days is a book of 24 garbage truck coloring pages. The pages are portrait, with a single square drawing under the title, and the truck is drawn large with thick outlines.
Many kinds of truck
What makes this set different is how many kinds of collection truck it includes. There are side loaders with a mechanical arm for curbside bins, a front loader lifting a dumpster high over its cab, a rear loader seen straight from behind with its open hopper, a roll-off container truck, a hook-lift raising its container, a two-compartment recycling truck with twin hoppers, and an electric truck plugged into a charger. The views change as well: side, front, rear and from above.
Four chapters
- Neighborhood Routes (1–6): curbside pickup on a house-lined street, a side loader at work, a small city collector, a quiet cul-de-sac, an autumn collection with raked leaves and a snowy morning route
- Trucks at Work (7–12): the front loader, the rear hopper view, dumpster collection outside apartments, the roll-off, the hook-lift and the electric truck
- Recycle and Sort (13–18): a paper recycling route with bundled newspapers, bottle collection with a glass bank and crates, garden waste day, arriving at the sorting center, the two-compartment truck and a reusable goods pickup
- Community Cleanup (19–24): the depot, truck wash day, a park cleanup route with a bench, a seaside collection, a country road pickup and Clean City Team
Coloring guide
The set is designed for ages 4–8, and younger children may want a hand with the smaller details such as bins and fences. The color reference pages are a separate PDF with trucks in green, teal, yellow and orange, so a child can color from the line-art book with the matching colored page open beside it.
