A forklift is an easy machine for kids to recognize once they have seen one: the cage over the driver’s seat, the tall upright mast at the front and the two flat forks that slide under a pallet. In these 24 coloring pages, the forklift is always carrying or about to lift something, and the load is a big part of each picture.
What gets lifted
- Easy 01–08: cardboard boxes at a warehouse door, a crate of apples, flower pots at a garden center, giant toy blocks, sacks by a farm shed, boxes at a seaside supply stop, pumpkins at a patch and a stack of boxes in a snowy yard
- Normal 09–16: boxes in a packing hall, apple crates beside a red barn, planks at a lumber yard, flowers for a greenhouse, flour sacks at a bakery, crates on a harbor dock, workshop materials beside a tool wall and fruit and vegetables for market day
- Hard 17–24: a distribution hall with tall shelving, harvest festival produce, cargo at a shipyard with containers and a crane, wrapped gifts in a winter toy workshop, plants at a botanical nursery, bricks at a brickworks, crates at a rail depot with a freight car, and a fair with a carousel
Setting and detail
The Easy forklift is large and sits against a plain wall, sky or field. From Normal on, the scenes fill in with shelving, barns and potted plants, and the Hard pages pack in bunting, stalls, stacked containers and holiday decorations. The forklift itself stays a bold, rounded shape with no brand markings, so it is easy to find even on a busy page.
Using the set
Each outline has a colored partner in the 48-page books, odd page then even page. To print only the coloring pages, choose odd pages or open the separate one-page files. The pages are landscape, so set the printer to landscape and Actual Size.
