All twelve Chinese zodiac animals are here, in order: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. You pick one of three drawing styles at checkout, and each style is a complete set of all twelve.
The three styles
Tribal. Each animal is a single-color silhouette with sweeping, tattoo-like curves. In the color files every animal gets its own color, so the dragon is blue and the tiger is red. The black files are the same designs in solid black. One-color art like this is the easiest kind to cut from vinyl or to screen print.
Muted Geometric. The animals are built from flat, angled shapes in brick red, charcoal, cream and a little tan. The effect is warm and a bit old-fashioned, and it sits well on kraft paper and natural canvas.
Red and Orange Geometric. These are the same twelve drawings as the muted set, recolored in red, orange and navy. It’s the brighter choice for Chinese New Year clipart, red envelopes and party signs.
Working with the files
The PNGs are 2400 pixels square with a transparent background, which is enough for a clean print about 8 inches wide at 300 pixels per inch. For anything larger, use the SVG. It scales to any size without going blurry, and you can open it in Illustrator, Inkscape or most online design tools to change a color or pull out one animal.
Each file holds one animal with nothing behind it, so you can drop the year’s animal onto a card or line up all twelve for a classroom zodiac chart.
