Winter Cottage Watercolor Print
Twenty snow-covered villages in low winter light, with lit windows glowing gold against blue-gray snow. Half-timbered houses, onion-domed church towers, windmills and castle walls give each scene an old-European look.

Winter Cottage is 20 square snow scenes in a watercolor style, most of them in low late-day light, when the sky turns pale gold and the windows are lit. Snow sits thick on every roof and wall, bare trees frame the edges, and small figures in scarves walk the paths with their dogs.
Villages, windmills and castles
The first half of the set stays close to the houses: steep half-timbered cottages with stone steps, church towers topped with onion domes or pointed spires, and holly with red berries in one foreground. Then the view widens. Two pictures follow a river, both with small boats on water that reflects the lamplight. Three bring in windmills on open hills, one with a horse-drawn sleigh on the road. Four lead up to castles and walled towns on rocky ridges, and one shows a stone bridge beside a frozen waterfall in a narrow gorge. The last two are small stone chapels in the snow.
The palette
Cool blue-gray and white carry the snow, and warm gold carries the light, in windows, lamps and the low sky. There’s very little other color apart from a red coat or roof here and there. That restraint makes them easy to hang in a room already decorated for the holidays, or through January and February once the decorations come down.
Size and framing
Each file is 4096 pixels square, enough for about 13.6 inches (34.7 cm) per side at 300 pixels per inch. Square frames up to 12 x 12 inches are comfortable. A rectangular frame means cropping, so check that a tower or windmill near the edge survives the trim.
