Spring Cottage is a set of 20 square landscapes in a soft watercolor style, all in the light green of early spring. Blossom trees in pale pink lean over the hills, the verges are full of daisies, tulips and bluebells, and the cottages are small stone or white-plastered houses with thatch, moss or red tile on the roofs.
Two kinds of scene
Most of the set is rolling farmland: a path curving uphill, a chapel with a pointed spire on the far ridge, people and a dog out walking. One picture has a lantern hanging from a branch over a field of drooping pink bell flowers. Another follows a slow river with a rowing boat and reeds, and three show arched stone bridges over clear streams.
The other group moves up into the mountains. Four pictures put gray snow-capped peaks and dark pines behind a valley with a rushing stream, a wooden chalet and grazing animals. If you want a quieter wall, leave these out. If you want a wider mix, pair one of them with a blossom scene.
Printing size
Each file is 4096 pixels on each side, about 13.6 inches (34.7 cm) square at 300 pixels per inch. A 12 x 12 inch print gets roughly 340 pixels per inch. The pictures are square, so a rectangular frame means cropping.
The colors are pale throughout. Run one test print on plain paper first, since some home printers flatten very light greens and pinks.
