These Halloween party invitations come in four shapes, and all twelve pieces in the set share one storybook look. The main picture is a stone cottage with a purple shingled roof, glowing windows, an orange door hung with a wreath, a striped awning and pumpkins piled on the steps, with two bats overhead. The smaller cards trade the house for a black cat in a lavender bow, sitting among white and orange pumpkins, a jack-o’-lantern and a brass lantern. A dashed lavender band runs across the top of every piece.

Four invitation layouts

Every invitation has the script heading “Come for a spell” and the same set of lines: party name, date, time, host, venue, address, RSVP contact and a dress note, which reads “Costumes & cozy spirits welcome” in the sample. Only the layout changes. The 5 x 7 and 4 x 6 portrait cards keep the cottage at the bottom, the slim DL card (99 x 210 mm) moves it up under the heading, and the 7 x 5 landscape card puts the house on the left with the details in a column on the right. Each layout keeps its own wording, so if you print two of them, fill in both.

Greetings that fold

Two of the three greetings are folded cards. The cover says “Happy Halloween” above the cat scene, with a line underneath you can rewrite. Inside, the right panel holds three lines of message, a closing and a sender name, and the left panel is left empty apart from a small script line, leaving room for a note in pen. The 5 x 7 card prints as a 10 x 7 inch spread and folds at 5 inches. The A6 card prints at 210 x 148 mm and folds at 105 mm. Print the outside, then the inside on the back of the same sheet, at 100% and landscape with a short-edge flip, then trim and score down the center. Printers turn paper differently, so run one plain-paper test before using card stock. The third greeting is a flat 5 x 3.5 inch note.

Using the editor

START-HERE.html opens in a desktop browser and runs without an internet connection. Pick a design from the list, type into its boxes, and the preview updates with every keystroke. A box takes up to 90 characters. Text wider than its space gets scaled down, and the editor flags any line that has shrunk below about two thirds of its normal size so you can shorten it. Typing covers English and Western European accented letters.

Nothing is kept when you close the tab unless you click “Save my edits”, which downloads a small JSON file. “Load my edits” reads it back, and “Reset this design” returns one piece to the sample text. “Print / Save as PDF” sets the page to that design’s exact size. In the print dialog, turn off fit to page and headers and footers, and turn on background graphics. “Download SVG pages” gives you a ZIP with one SVG for each page of the design, with the art and fonts built in, and two pages for a folded card.

Paper, home sheets and the extras

The US Letter and A4 sheets put one design in the middle of the page with corner crop marks, plus fold ticks for the folded cards. They show the sample wording, which makes them handy for checking size and color on your printer. On A4, the welcome sign’s crop marks need a borderless printer, so use the US Letter sheet or a print shop for that one.

The reply card asks for a name and number of guests and has two boxes, “Gladly accepts” and “Sadly declines”, for guests to mark by hand, with your reply-by date and contact above. The 4 x 6 details card has three short sections: what to wear, what to bring and good to know. The welcome sign is 8 x 10 inches, the treat tag is a 3 x 4 inch rectangle with no hole, and the 3.5 x 2 inch table label is flat rather than folded into a tent. There are no envelopes and no bleed, and the gold of the lantern is printed color, not foil.

Questions

Will the US Letter and A4 sheets show my own party details?
No. Those sheets carry the sample wording, such as the Parker Family and Saturday, October 31, 2026. For your own details, print from the editor at exact size, or use the handwriting PDF.
Which words can I change?
Only the text boxes the editor lists for each design, such as the party name, date, host, address and the messages on the greetings. Script headings like "Come for a spell", "Happy Halloween" and "Count me in" belong to the artwork, along with the colors, fonts and sizes.
