All 30 cats in this book stand 50 beads tall. Their widths change with the costume, from 35 beads for the strawberry cat to 52 for the dragon cat with its wings. On 5 mm fuse beads that works out to about 25 cm (9.8 in) tall, so these are wall-hanger and shelf pieces rather than keychain charms.

How each pattern is laid out
Each cat gets two pages. The card page shows the finished cat with its bead count, grid size, finished size and the numbers of the colors it uses. The chart page has the full grid with numbered edges, a heavier line every 10 squares and a color list with HEX codes and how many beads of each you need. Patterns use between 4 and 10 colors and between 1,135 and 1,551 beads.
At the back of the book, every cat is printed again at actual size, where each square measures exactly 5 mm. Wider cats are split across two sheets with trim marks that you butt together. Print these pages at 100% with “fit to page” turned off, then lay the sheets under a clear pegboard or check your work against them.
Colors and beads
All 30 patterns draw on one 40-color list, and the book tells you how many beads of each color the whole set uses (41,011 in total). Colors are given as HEX and RGB values instead of any one brand’s codes, so you hold the swatches up to the beads you already have and pick the closest. They work with 5 mm fuse beads such as Perler. Doodlora Studio is not affiliated with Perler; the name is used only to describe bead size.
Seven of the cats, including the music cat, have small detached details that fuse as separate little pieces.
