These spaceship coloring pages are built around five made-up cartoon ships, not thirty different ones. Each ship gets six pages, one for every angle, so you can color a matching fleet or give the same ship a new paint job on every page. The outlines are thick, the panels are large, and the background holds nothing but stars, a planet or two and sometimes a strip of cratered ground.

The five ships

Designs Ship (as named in the guide) What it looks like
01–06 Comet Scout A round-nosed rocket with one big bubble window, swept fins and twin engines
07–12 Delta Shuttle A winged cartoon shuttle with a row of small cockpit windows, a tall tail fin and three engines
13–18 Survey Voyager A capsule with a porthole, two solar panels, a satellite dish and engine pods on arms
19–24 Lunar Hopper A round-bodied lander with portholes, a dish on top and spindly legs ending in round feet
25–30 Ring Explorer A slim ship held by spokes in the middle of a large ring

The ship names appear only in the matched-pairs guide. The coloring book pages carry just the design number.

Six views of every ship

The angles repeat in the same order for each ship: cruising forward at a slant, a side view, the engines from behind, banking as seen from above, hovering low over rocky ground with its landing legs down, and a docking approach where a round docking port sticks in from the left edge of the frame. So design 05 is the Comet Scout hovering and design 23 is the Lunar Hopper doing the same.

There are no people in this set, no launch pads and no views inside a ship; those are in our space shuttle and spacecraft coloring sets, which are drawn in much finer, more realistic line. Here it’s the vehicles on their own, drawn simply enough that the large shapes are easy to fill. Each drawing covers about 9.8 × 7.3 inches of a US Letter page.

Color pages and the guide

Every color reference puts the ship on a pale sky-blue background with yellow stars, so following them doesn’t mean filling a black sky. The hulls are cream, trimmed in orange for the rocket and the lander, blue for the shuttle, teal and navy for the probe, and teal and orange for the ring ship. In the book, odd-numbered pages are the line drawings and even-numbered pages are the colors, so print only the odd pages if you just want things to color. Print landscape at Actual Size; the A4 files hold the same designs.

Questions

Are there 30 different spaceships?
No. There are five ships, and each one is drawn from six angles, which makes 30 pages.
Does the matched-pairs guide add more pictures?
No. It repeats the same 30 designs in a smaller side-by-side layout, two to a page, with each design's name printed above it. Use it to see the line art and its colors together, or to find a ship by name.
