Space Pixel Art Characters

These 30 characters share one body plan: a big round head, dot eyes, pink cheeks, a one-pixel dark outline and flat blocks of shading. Each sprite is drawn on a 64 by 64 grid and saved at 2048 pixels, so every original pixel is a crisp 32-pixel square with no soft edges.

The six sets

Each set has five characters, and the file names run 01 to 30 in this order:

• Space Crew: little astronaut, space explorer, space mechanic, space scientist, space pilot
• Alien Friends: cute green alien, purple alien, blue alien, tiny alien, alien prince
• Space Creatures: moon creature, star creature, cosmic cat, cosmic bunny, space octopus
• Space Objects: little rocket, little UFO, planet buddy, Saturn buddy, little moon
• Fantasy Space: space wizard, space knight, space pirate, space robot, space monster
• Special Characters: sleepy astronaut, happy space chef, space gamer, galaxy guardian, cosmic baby

The printable PDFs

The catalog PDF opens with a cover, a page of all 30, a numbered grid sheet and an index, then gives each character a full page with its name and set. It’s drawn as vector shapes rather than pasted images, so the pixel squares stay hard-edged at any print size. The separate grid sheet puts all 30 on one page, handy as a checklist or a poster.

Bead charts

The bead chart book turns every sprite into a counted chart for 5 mm fuse beads. Each square carries a color letter, so a black-and-white printout still works, with thin lines for every bead and heavier lines every five. Each chart page lists the size in beads, the bead count per color and the finished size in centimeters. The characters range from 534 to 1,443 beads, and the whole set comes to 31,950 beads in 25 colors, with a total for each color on the key page.

Most characters fuse as one piece. The little moon and the sleepy astronaut have floating “zzz” marks that you make separately or leave out.
