Every design in this ladybug outline set is a ladybug, so the variety comes from spots, poses and the setting around the beetle. Most are drawn from above with legs spread and antennae curling. A few turn to the side, and a handful are templates meant to be traced, counted or cut and glued together.

Spots, poses and garden scenes

The first three are the spot patterns: a two-spot, a five-spot and a seven-spot ladybug, all seen from straight above. Design 04 crawls sideways with its dome raised, 05 lifts its spotted wing cases to spread the thin flying wings underneath, and 14 is a three-quarter view with the head tipped down toward you. Designs 06 and 07 have big round cartoon eyes. Design 10 swaps the spots for four hearts.

Five designs add a setting. A ladybug sits on a broad leaf with a sprig of smaller leaves (08), climbs onto an open daisy (09), and leads a smaller one up a long curving leaf (11). In design 12, three ladybugs of shrinking size walk in a line along a grass blade. On the daisy, the jagged leaves stay solid black even in the outline file, which the guide mentions for the botanical lines.

Three of the twenty lean on earlier drawings. Design 13 is the two-spot pose again with a plainer head, and the two mini accents, 17 and 18, are the two-spot and heart ladybugs shrunk to under 2 inches on the 8-inch canvas. They’re handy as small corner pieces, but count them as size options rather than new poses.

The four templates

Designs 15 and 16 are counting pictures, the same top-view ladybug carrying four spots and then ten, five down each wing case. Design 19 is a ladybug made only of dots for tracing: body, head, legs, antennae, a center line and four round spots. It comes in two dot weights, heavier dots in the solid file and lighter ones in the outline file. Design 20 breaks a ladybug into a plain body and two separate wing panels with two spots each, to cut out and glue over the body. The guide asks for adult supervision on that one.

Cutting the solid shapes

In the solid files the spots and the fine seams between the wing cases are cut as openings, which splits several ladybugs into a few pieces. The guide says outright that these aren’t one-piece stencil sheets, and that loose spot details need transfer tape or paper assembly. The outline files draw each line as a closed band rather than a single stroke. Small legs, spots and antennae are the parts to watch, and the guide asks for a test cut in your own material before a full project.

How the PDF pages are arranged

Each PDF opens with a cover of printing notes, then runs the solid version and the outline version in three layouts: every design on its own page at about 6 inches on its longest side, four designs per page at about 3 inches, and six per page at about 2 inches. The multi-design sheets show four or six different ladybugs, not copies of one. The mini accents stay small even on a full page. Print at Actual Size or 100% so the sizes hold.

Questions

Is each solid ladybug one piece I can cut out?
Not always. The white spots and the thin lines between the wing cases are cut through the black, so several designs come out as a few separate pieces. The guide says spot details need transfer tape or paper assembly and that these aren't one-piece stencil sheets. Small legs, spots and antennae need a test cut in your own material first.
Are the six-per-page sheets six copies of one ladybug?
No. The four-up and six-up pages run through the designs in order, so each sheet shows four or six different ladybugs with their number and name under each.
