The Zodiac Code is a 40-page printable guide to the twelve animal signs of the Chinese zodiac, from Rat to Pig. It treats the zodiac as a personality framework for reflection rather than a way to predict the future, and says so in its own introduction.
Find your sign first
The foundation pages come before the signs. A lookup table lists each animal’s birth years from 1948 to 2032 with its fixed element and its yin or yang polarity, and a second table gives the date Lunar New Year fell on in every year from 1984 to 2033. The guide works through an example, because anyone born in January or early February may belong to the previous year’s animal. Further pages explain the five elements, yin and yang, and the twelve two-hour watches of the day, each linked to an animal.
Two pages for every sign
Each animal gets a spread. The first page is a character profile: four strengths, three growth edges, how the sign behaves under pressure, what it needs, its element, polarity and hour. The second page covers fortune and compatibility, with lucky numbers, colors, directions and flowers, the sign’s own next year, its three best matches, its opposing sign and its hidden friction. Space is left at the bottom for this year’s fortune and your own notes.
Compatibility and your own record
A full 12 x 12 chart lets you find any pair at a glance, followed by a page on the six best-matched pairs and one on the six opposing pairs, each with a short note on how the two signs tend to get along. The last pages are yours to fill in, a year-ahead worksheet for work, money, love and health, and a notes page for your sign, element and hour sign.
The artwork and printing
The twelve animal medallions are vector artwork in cobalt blue on cream, so they stay sharp at either paper size, and each sign spread has its own accent color. Turn on “print background graphics” so the cream page tone and blue discs appear, and use paper of 120 gsm or heavier to keep the deep blue from showing through.
