Alien Coloring Pages: 30 Friendly Creatures Baking, Building and Exploring Imaginary Worlds
Thirty cartoon creatures from invented planets go about their day: a mushroom bakes crescent pastries, a snail waters a floating flower nursery, an ant conductor waits on a train platform. Nobody here wears a space helmet, and every page has a numbered color version.

In these 30 landscape alien coloring pages, the creatures are the whole story. Each one has a job or a pastime in a place that exists only in the artwork: a crater garden with mushroom houses, a library that spirals up inside a giant tree, a sailboat harbor below a domed town. The scene’s name is printed under the frame, such as “Spore Bakery” or “Dew Collectors.”
What the creatures get up to
| Pages | Doing what |
|---|---|
| 01, 06, 09, 11, 13, 14, 18, 26 | Growing and cooking: watering sprouts, a picnic on a blanket, baking, opening a giant seedpod of lilies, stirring stew, tending hanging flowers, carrying an orchard basket, collecting dew in a net |
| 05, 08, 17, 24, 27 | Making things: setting pearls in a shell tray, painting a glass lantern underwater, throwing a bowl on a pottery wheel, painting a swirl mural, binding a book |
| 02, 03, 07, 12, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 | Building, fixing and getting around: a parcel courier, a stone bridge, a buggy repair, a crystal lighthouse, a ribbon-shaped train, a table map of desert mesas, a rope rescue down a cave, tying up a sailboat, a train platform |
| 04, 10, 19, 20, 21, 25, 28, 30 | Free time: reading on a branch, flying a kite, a hexagon tile puzzle, a bubble music grotto, a telescope on a treetop deck, a camp under glowing mushrooms, babies asleep on cloud beds, a festival garland |
The cast changes every page. Some have three or four eyes, a few have one, and others are built like a snail, an octopus, a starfish, a cube or a cut crystal. Ringed planets, extra moons and floating islands fill the skies behind them.
Busy pages and roomier ones
The outlines are bold and the characters have big round eyes, but the backgrounds are not empty. Page 02, the Bubble City courier, and page 04, the tree library, are packed with railings, domes, vines and shelves. If you want large shapes to fill, start with page 10 (the kite field), 16 (the desert mapmaker), 19 (the tile puzzle) or 28 (the cloud nursery), where the character takes up much more of the frame.
Using the color versions
The color references lean on teal and lavender for the creatures, with bright blue skies and warm orange desert scenes. Six pages are dark: the tree library, the comet kitchen, the music grotto, the observatory, the cave rescue and the mushroom camp sit under night skies or deep inside rock. Follow them closely or ignore them. The page numbers match, so page 20 in the color file is the same grotto as page 20 in the coloring file.
Print the coloring file at Actual Size with the paper turned landscape. The A4 PDFs carry the same 30 scenes, so pick the size that fits your printer.
Questions
- Are there astronauts, rockets or flying saucers in the pages?
- There are no astronauts or rockets. Every page is about the creatures and their towns, gardens and workshops. The nearest thing to a saucer is on page 02, where small bubble-shaped pods carry parcels between floating towers.
- Are these meant to show what real aliens might look like?
- No. The start-here notes describe the creatures and worlds as fantasy art, not scientific evidence of extraterrestrial life.
