These scientist coloring pages show adults at work in a research lab, drawn realistically with fine lines and full backgrounds. Lab coats, safety glasses, gloves, sample racks and shelving fill each landscape scene, and most pages have one to three people. They’re quiet everyday moments, not dramatic discoveries: weighing a sample, writing a label, putting glassware away to dry.

Thirty parts of a working day

At the bench. A researcher at a microscope while a colleague takes notes (1), calipers on a row of blocks (7), a balance in its glass case under a wall clock (10), two people with pipettes and tip boxes (11), a printed graph beside a benchtop instrument (21), a probe on a stand at the calibration station (24) and an automated machine inside a clear enclosure (29).

Handling samples. Trays of capped bottles and a barcode scanner at sample reception (2), soil spread in trays with rubber boots on the floor (6), boxes going onto the shelves of a tall cold-storage unit (16), a drawer of rock specimens in the geology archive (20), tubes loaded next to an open centrifuge (22) and a rack of tubes set into a carrying box (27).

Plants and the outdoors. A tall potted plant in a glass-roofed growth room (4), a water station with a river view (5), big filter jugs beside a wall map (17), a tent beside a lake with a microscope packed in a case (18), a leaf under a camera on a stand (19) and jars of tiny plants in a culture cabinet (23).

Keeping the lab running. Equipment care beside a pegboard of tools (3), a supply room with a loaded cart (9), test tubes lined up in racks (12), a fume hood check (13), a tour past the safety shower and eyewash (14), glassware rinsed at a sink (15) and an end-of-day walk through the whole room under a big window (28).

People and records. Page 8 has no faces, only two hands sketching a leaf in a notebook beside pressed leaves, pencils and a camera. Page 25 is a planning meeting at a round table, page 26 a researcher in a wheelchair at a height-adjustable bench, and page 30 an open day with pressed leaves under glass.

How it compares with cartoon science pages

The people are drawn like real adults, and the rooms have realistic depth, with countertops, cabinet handles and bottle rows going back into the scene. That makes most pages slow, detailed coloring. There are no kid characters, rockets or bubbling potions here.

The color reference keeps to teal cabinets, white coats, navy trousers, cream walls and tan floors, with green plants on many windowsills. Print the line-art file in landscape at Actual Size, and pick Fit to printable area only if your printer trims an edge. US Letter and A4 hold the same 30 scenes.

Questions

Are these cartoon scientists?
No. The people are realistic adults in lab coats, many of them in safety glasses, drawn in thin lines inside busy rooms full of shelves, bottles and cabinets. Expect plenty of small spaces to fill.
Do the pages walk through any lab procedures?
No. Each page is a scene with a title and one sentence about it, such as "Calipers help compare the dimensions of solid samples." The start-here notes describe them as coloring illustrations, not instructions for laboratory work.
