These robot coloring pages show 30 invented machines on the job. Most are built like real working equipment, with wheels, tracks, jointed legs, grippers and camera heads, and only a few have anything like a face. They are original designs with no tie to any robot maker or film franchise.

Where the robots work

Each page is a full scene with a detailed background, so the robot is rarely more than half the picture.

  • Outdoors and growing things: a big-wheeled cart carrying a tray of seedlings through a greenhouse while a gardener checks a clipboard, a rail-mounted frame picking apples down an orchard row, a solar-roofed field robot straddling vegetable beds, and small round helpers trundling between tomatoes and lettuce.
  • Water: a drone with four thrusters hovering over coral with a sea turtle nearby, and a boxy underwater rover working on a shell-covered pier post.
  • Rough ground: a rover with a digging arm on a cratered plain, a tracked machine with a solar panel beside an ice field hut, a camera-headed crawler below a volcano, a four-legged walker by a mountain cabin, and a chain of linked wheeled segments crossing rubble.
  • Indoors: a tall lift setting a book on a library shelf, a scissor-lift moving a crate in a warehouse, a floor cleaner in a marble lobby, a guide robot holding up a sign beside a dinosaur skeleton, a sorting arm over recycling bins, and a telescope on a jointed mount under an observatory dome.
  • Workbenches and hobbies: two arms stacking wooden blocks, a robot folding cloth beside a sewing machine, an arm on tracks building a chair in a woodshop, a four-legged origami folder surrounded by paper cranes, and a round robot on spindly legs playing two hand drums.
  • The rest: a suction-cup window cleaner on a high-rise, a sidewalk delivery robot, a mural painter on a vertical rail, a rail inspection cart, a delivery table bringing a basket of towels to a woman on her sofa, a many-sided ball with two arms floating through a space station with Earth in the window, and a tall prototype standing on its rig while two people in lab coats look on.

The line work is clean but busy. Shelves, plants, tiles, rocks and machinery fill the backgrounds, which suits colorers who like plenty to work on.

Color references on every other page

The colored versions keep the robots in one family of cream, teal and orange, with natural colors for the settings around them. Treat them as one way to finish the page, not the answer. In every PDF the line art falls on the odd pages and its color reference on the even page right after it, so set your printer to odd pages to print only the coloring sheets. Keep the color pages on screen to glance at while you work.

Two paper sizes, split in half

The download has four folders. The Letter pages are split between two PDFs, designs 1 to 15 and designs 16 to 30, and the A4 pages are split the same way. Both sizes have the same 30 designs, so pick one. The printed page numbers carry on from one half to the next, which is why the second Letter file starts at page 31. Print landscape at Actual Size. If an edge gets cut off, switch to Fit to printable area, and run one test page first.
