Instant downloadJPG, PNG, PDF

Sixteen leafy backgrounds in eight plant groups, two designs each: monstera, palms, ferns, eucalyptus, dense rainforest walls, potted houseplants, single-leaf close-ups and deep shaded greens. Every design comes as a square JPG and two 16:9 crops, designs 11 and 12 also come as seamless PNG tiles, and the Letter and A4 PDFs give each design its own page.

These plant backgrounds are 16 illustrated designs packed edge to edge with leaves. They come in eight plant groups with two designs each, drawn with soft brush-like strokes in greens, sage and silvery blue-green. All 16 were made with AI, and they are illustrations, not photos of real leaves.

Eight groups, two takes on each

  • Monstera (1–2). Big split leaves on a cream ground in the first, a fuller, darker canopy in the second.
  • Palms (3–4). Fan-shaped palm leaves, then long feathery fronds.
  • Ferns (5–6). Layered bright green fronds, then a fine, lacy pattern of tiny maidenhair leaflets.
  • Eucalyptus (7–8). Round blue-green leaves on red stems, then narrow, drooping leaves.
  • Rainforest walls (9–10). Dense mixes of heart-shaped leaves, monstera and ferns with no background showing, the second a little lighter.
  • Houseplants (11–12). Layered potted plants, with terracotta pots in 11 and pale ivory pots in 12. These are the two that also come as seamless tiles.
  • Close-ups (13–14). One large heart-shaped leaf, then one long ribbed leaf, each filling most of the square.
  • Shaded greens (15–16). The darkest pair: glossy deep-green leaves with fern sprigs, then striped leaves mixed with heart-shaped ones.

The monstera, palm, eucalyptus and close-up designs let cream show between the leaves. The rainforest, houseplant and shaded designs are close to solid green.

What each file is

File Size What it shows
JPG folder, 16 files 3600 x 3600 px The full square design
Wide folder, 16 files 3840 x 2160 px A 16:9 band from the middle of the square
Wide folder, 16 files 1920 x 1080 px The same band, smaller
Seamless-PNG folder, 2 files 3600 x 3600 px Designs 11 and 12 as repeating tiles
Print-PDF folder, 2 files US Letter, A4 One design per page

The wide files trim an equal strip off the top and bottom of the square, so they suit a monitor or TV but lose part of each design. The AI originals were resampled to these sizes, and the Read-Me says plainly that the pixel counts do not mean the art was created at that resolution.

The two seamless tiles

The PNG tiles are the same artwork as JPG designs 11 and 12, not two more designs. Their edges are made to meet: the Read-Me says to place copies edge to edge at the same scale with no gaps, and laid out two by two, the leaves carry across the joins into a continuous wall of houseplants. The PNGs are saved with a reduced palette of 128 colors, while the JPGs of designs 11 and 12 keep the full color range.

On paper

The PDFs are portrait pages with one square design each, centered with white margins: 8 inches square on US Letter and just under 7.8 inches on A4. The artwork in the PDFs is brightened by 10 percent compared with the JPGs. Print at actual size and try one page before running the set. For the full 12 x 12 inch square, print the square JPG on larger paper instead.
