Dreamy Pastel Fantasy Bookmarks

Dreamy Pastel Fantasy is fifteen small, quiet fantasy scenes. Nothing dark happens here. Every bookmark is a landscape in cotton-candy pink, lilac and soft green, with blossom trees framing the edges and something a little impossible going on in the middle.

What’s in the fifteen scenes

Some of them are about getting somewhere. Starry Sleeper Train sends a purple train over a stone viaduct, Lantern Boat has a black cat drifting across a lake with a lantern on the bow, Balloon Post Office floats a pink patchwork hot air balloon over a village, and Door to the Dawn climbs a flight of pink steps to a door standing open in a wall of roses.

Others are odd little places: Teacup Hamlet is a cluster of cottages inside a teacup on the riverbank, The Book Bloom Garden grows houses out of the pages of an open book, and Cloud Garden puts a domed pavilion at the top of a staircase made of clouds. Whale Above the Roofs is exactly that.

A few animals turn up along the way. Swanlight Cove has two swans on a sunset lake, Fox Dreaming Glade has a fox asleep among mushrooms at the foot of a huge tree, and Rabbit and the Comet has a white rabbit watching a comet cross the sky. The set rounds out with Moonlit Blossom Bridge, Glasshouse of Fireflies, Treehouse Lullaby and The Windmill Waltz.

Printing them

There’s no border, frame or lettering on the fronts. The color runs to the trimmed edge, so cut carefully on the trim marks, since the sheets don’t include extra bleed. The bookmarks lie sideways on each sheet to keep their 2 x 6 inch size, so print at 100% with scaling off. Screen colors and printed colors never match exactly, so print one test sheet and check it before running the rest on cardstock.
