Ghost Town Adventure is a picture-book story told in coloring pages. One small round ghost with a scarf around its neck waves from its front door on page 3 and says goodnight on page 40, and in between it eats pancakes with a white cat, bakes at the Ghost Bakery, works the counter at the post office, rides the Ghost Town Express and spends an evening at the carnival. The outlines are thick and cartoonish, and nearly every scene is packed with cottages, lampposts, flowers and cobblestones.
Is it a Halloween book?
Not really. The ghost is cute rather than spooky, and the town has bakeries and libraries, not haunted houses. Halloween touches are few: a plain pumpkin by one doorstep, a few bats over the moonlit path, and a witch hat among the dress-up pieces. There are no jack-o’-lanterns and no trick-or-treating.
A walk through the town
Design 01 is a Welcome to Ghost Town sign, and design 02 is a map with ten numbered stops, from the Ghost House to the Ghost Castle on the hill. The scenes then roughly follow that route:
- Home and the main street: the ghost’s bedroom, breakfast, the flower shop and bakery street, a moonlit path and a clock tower announcing Time for an Adventure!
- Around town: baking in the Ghost Bakery and serving at its counter, the post office and a mail delivery, the Moonlight Library, a reading nook, Ghost School with a group of ghost classmates.
- Gardens and travel: the Ghost Garden gate, giant flowers, a pond under the moon, the train station, a view from the train window, a stone bridge and the Ghost Forest.
- The fun half (25–40): a carnival, a carousel, a Ferris wheel, a candy shop, ice cream in the park, a picnic, a band, a dance party with balloons, a magic door, a study with a telescope, the Ghost Castle, a night market, a lantern parade and Goodnight, Little Ghost.
Eight activity pages
Designs 41 to 48 ask for some drawing and writing. There’s a blank ghost to dress up (hat, bow, crown, glasses, scarf, wings), a ghost house to design from a checklist, an empty scroll map to build a town on, a My Ghost ID card, a costume page and a frame for drawing your own town. The Ghost Town Spotter page lists eight places to find in the book and check off, and the last page is an explorer certificate with lines for a name and date.
How the PDFs are split
Each paper size comes as two PDFs, designs 01–24 and 25–48, 48 pages each. Inside both, every outline is followed by its colored version, so select odd pages to print outlines only, or even pages for the colored set. Print single-sided at actual size.
