A little girl with bows in her hair is the center of almost every page in Little Lovely World. She brushes a pony, splashes in rain boots with a duckling, decorates a giant cupcake, flies a kite and sits in a treehouse with a friend. Only one design leaves her out, a pattern page of bunnies, bows, flowers and strawberries. The drawings are simple and cheerful, with one main figure, a few props and lots of flowers along the bottom of the page.
Six chapters, six pages each
- Little Friends: a bunny, a kitten getting a bow, a puppy with a ball, a pony, a bird at a birdhouse and a teddy bear at story time.
- Garden Magic: watering flower pots, a butterfly picnic, a strawberry patch, rain boots and a puddle, a flower tree swing, and a magnifying glass aimed at a ladybug.
- Sweet Moments: cupcake sprinkles, flower cookies, a lemonade stand, an ice cream cart, a strawberry birthday cake and a tea party for two.
- Create & Play: painting a rainbow at an easel, a clay flower pot, a kite, paper dolls, a ribbon dance and a xylophone.
- Dreamy Days: a garden fairy on a mushroom, a cloud castle, a unicorn, a mermaid in a shell, a hot air balloon and a crescent moon at bedtime.
- Little Adventures: a bike with a flower basket, a bunny garden party, a storybook adventure map, a “You Can Shine” rainbow page, the pattern page and the treehouse.
Each title is printed in small capitals at the top of its page.
About the colored versions
In the color reference book she has golden hair, blue eyes and dresses in lavender and pink. That’s only the reference. On the line art, her hair, skin and clothes are blank outlines, so the child coloring decides what she looks like.
Ages and printing
The printing guide gives ages 3 to 7 and suggests some details may need adult help for the youngest. Shapes are large, and the fiddly parts are hair bows, frills and the small flowers. The line-art book and the color reference book are separate files with the designs in the same order, in US Letter and A4. Print the line art at 100% in black and white, one-sided, with a spare sheet underneath for markers. Color pages are optional and use more ink.
