A tiny pixel room gets furnished in these 30 room decor fuse bead patterns: a cream sofa with a throw blanket, a bed, a desk with its own lamp, a bookshelf, a round rug with a scalloped edge, and the small things that sit on top of them. Each object is charted twice, once as a detailed grid for 5 mm beads and once as a mini grid for 2.6 mm beads, from a shared 12-color palette.
The room, piece by piece
The pattern book sorts the 30 designs into six groups of five:
- Cozy Furniture: sofa, bed, mini desk, bookshelf, round rug
- Room Decor: potted plant, cactus with a pink flower, flower vase, scented candle, framed landscape
- Daily Cozy Items: coffee cup with heart-shaped steam, matcha latte, open book, headphones, retro camera
- Bedroom Mini Items: teddy bear, cat pillow, alarm clock, table lamp, round mirror
- Cozy Magic Decor: rainbow wall hanging, moon lamp, star light garland, crystal bottle, magic book
- Seasonal Cozy Room: pumpkin, mini Christmas tree, snow globe, gift box, four-leaf clover in a pot
Seven of them have small smiling faces: the plant pot, cactus, matcha latte, teddy bear, cat pillow, alarm clock and pumpkin. The idea page at the back of the book suggests three scenes, a reading corner around the rug, a sleepy bedroom built from the bed, cat pillow, teddy, clock and moon lamp, and a seasonal shelf where the pumpkin, tree, snow globe and gift box take turns.
Flat, not 3D
Every design here is a single flat picture of the object. Nothing slots together into 3D furniture. To stand the sofa or the bed upright you’d need a separate support, and the start-here file says the same. The other route it names is backing a cooled piece with a magnet or keychain hardware and checking the join before it gets used.
How big each grid comes out
The start-here file lists the ranges. Detailed grids are 43 to 68 beads wide and 45 to 68 tall, which is 8.46 to 13.39 in (21.5 to 34 cm) across on 5 mm beads. Mini grids are 32 to 44 beads wide and 29 to 51 tall, or 3.28 to 4.50 in (8.3 to 11.4 cm) across at 2.6 mm. The sofa shows how the two compare: 68 × 50 and 2,481 beads in detail, 44 × 32 and 1,039 beads as a mini. The scented candle is the largest at 3,715 beads; each preview page in the book gives that design’s exact footprint at both pitches.
The detailed tile book splits every design over four sheets that share two rows or columns where they meet. The color list on each sheet is the total for the whole design, not for that one tile, so don’t add the four sheets together when buying beads. The mini book fits each design on a single page, printed once in color and once as an ink-saving sheet.
Twelve colors
The palette runs from dark chocolate, walnut brown, honey tan, warm beige, buttercream and ivory through blush pink, sage green, moss green, baby blue, denim blue and soft yellow. The coffee cup needs only 7 of them, while the sofa, bookshelf, rainbow and crystal bottle use all 12. The codes 01 to 12 belong to this collection and don’t correspond to any bead brand’s numbering, so compare the hex values on page 4 with the beads you have. If you’d rather not print color, the ink-saving sheets print in grayscale and you follow the numbers.
The detailed charts fit standard 5 mm fuse beads such as Perler, and the minis are meant for 2.6 mm beads. These patterns are not affiliated with the Perler brand. Keep one bead size per piece. An adult handles the iron, and small parts stay away from children under 3.
Questions
- Can I stand the sofa or bed up like dollhouse furniture?
- Not on its own. Every design is a flat picture of the object, and the start-here notes say a standing display needs separate supports.
- Which design is the quickest to make?
- The star light garland is the only one marked easy. Its mini grid is 44 × 29 and takes 590 beads, the fewest in the set.
