Little Camper Adventure is an 86-page printable camping activity book for kids, marked on the cover for ages 4 to 8. It follows one camper through a trip in eight missions. Each mission opens with a cover page that lists its activities and closes with a “Mission Complete” page, where the child ticks off what they did and earns that mission’s badge.
The eight missions
- Pack Your Backpack, 7 activities: circle what belongs in a camping bag, then cut and glue the real essentials into a backpack, count gear and finish with a maze.
- Set Up Camp, 8: cut out a tent, tree, campfire and lantern to build your own campsite, find shapes, say where the bear is (above, behind, beside or under) and sort tents from smallest to largest.
- Forest Explorer, 10: a scavenger hunt meant for outdoors (pine cone, feather, acorn, mushroom), animal tracks, animal homes, leaf shadows and a one-minute memory page you fold over to hide.
- Campfire Time, 8: build a s’more in the right order, hot or cold, what happens first at dinner, and four campfire rules to go over with a grown-up.
- Wildlife Watch, 9: match animal sounds and babies, number animals by size, help the fox find home and spot five differences.
- Night Adventure, 8: count the stars, join star dots into animal shapes, an I spy at night, a path back to the tent and a cut-and-sort day or night page.
- Campground Challenge, 10: four bingo cards, a memory game, a three-camper logic grid, sorting gear into wear, eat, use and sleep, and five mini challenges.
- Little Camper Graduation: badges to cut out, a passport to fill in, two coloring pages and the certificate.
That’s 60 activity pages in missions 1 to 7. The how-to page says there’s no wrong order, so a child can jump straight to the night sky or the campfire.
Games for more than one
Mission 7 is the part to play with others. The four bingo cards are three by three with a free middle square, and the caller cuts out the 24 memory cards on page 74 and uses one of each pair as calling cards. Laminating the bingo and memory cards lets you use them again, as the how-to page suggests.
Printing
Print at 100% or Actual Size on US Letter or A4. The ink-friendly version prints in black and white and doubles as a coloring book. Scissors and glue are needed for five cut-and-glue pages and the badge sheet, and scissors for the memory cards. The read-me suggests cardstock for the badges, bingo cards, memory cards and certificate. Answers are listed by page number in the read-me, and the page numbers are the same in all four files.
