Making and selling a printable activity book for kids is the whole subject of this 28-page workbook, written for people who have never designed one. It opens by promising you won’t need to draw, and the method it teaches runs on free tools, with Canva and its element library doing most of the work.

Four parts, one book

Find your direction starts with the age group, 2–4, 5–7 or 8–10, with the traits and best activities for each, then a list of ten themes and five activity formats, from coloring and mazes to logic puzzles. Design your content plans the page count, compares five page layouts and adds the small extras, such as answer pages and a completion certificate, that the guide says buyers notice. Make your product is the hands-on part: a free toolkit, a five-step Canva routine built on one master page, page design tips on type size and margins, export settings, and five common mistakes. List and sell covers listing titles, photos and tags, publishing on Amazon KDP and Teachers Pay Teachers, a pricing table by book length, and five marketing channels that cost nothing.

Pages you write on

Four pages are worksheets, three of them placed at the end of a part so you pin down your decisions before moving on: a project summary, a sketch sheet for your first page, a content plan for page counts, layouts, palette and fonts, and a checklist for the finished file. The printing notes suggest running off a second copy of those four if you plan more than one book. The PDFs also annotate well in note-taking apps if you’d rather work on a tablet.

Before you buy

This is a planning and how-to guide. It doesn’t include activity pages, templates or clip art to reuse, and it assumes you’ll build your book in Canva or a similar tool. The pages are designed in color, so print in color if you can, at 100% so the writing lines keep their size. Plain 90–120 gsm paper is enough.
